Diagnose Search Rankings for Blog Posts

Just wondering why there is no tool to diagnose blog posts rankings in search engines? I think it would save much time if bloggers and site owners could look how their posts or pages are ranked in search engines. With rankings I don’t mean Page Ranking tools like: Blogflux, iWebTool, PageRankTool and many others.

I’m thinking about a ranking tool that would diagnose a position af every page in your domain index. A tool that would give you some important info you need to optimize your content:

  • Ranking of pages based on same search term as page title
  • Rankig of pages based on page tags
  • Ranking of pages based on random chosen keywords

Just wondering how hard would it be to develop it? Probably very hard as no such tool exists right now.

Daylight Savings Time 2008

Today I woke up and kinda’ thought I was daydreaming as the time was 6:45 am and I usaually wake up at 8 am. So what happened? - the atomic clock has gone crazy I tell you:) – Current time stoped for an hour and we’ve gone into timeless space. Now you actally had an opportunity to use that hour to make something you’ve forgotten on just sleep an hour longer:)

Now lets learn what Daylight Savings Time is from Google Knol:

What is daylight saving time?

Daylight saving time (DST) is the time of year during which the world clocks are set forward one hour ahead of standard time. Note, that the correct phrase is “daylight saving time” and not “daylight savings time”. In Britain, the common name is “summer time”.

When does the time change?

Moving the clock an hour forward is also reffed as “springing forward” (since it takes place on spring) and moving it an hour backwards – “falling back” (in the fall). Most DST transition occur on March-April and September-October, but the exact dates change often due the controversy of implementing DST. For updated information on DST transition times click here.

Which countries use DST?

  • Most of the developed countries use DST.
  • US: all states except Arizona and Hawaii
  • Europe: all countries.
  • Australia: all except Queensland and Northern Territory (Lord Howe Island moves the clock by 30 minutes)
  • Canada: all except Quebec, most of Saskatchewan, and parts of British Colombia
  • Asia: Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, parts of Japan (unofficially)
  • Africa: Egypt, Mauritius, Namibia, Tunisia
  • South America: Chile, Brazil (some areas), Argentina, Cuba
  • Learn more: time-and-date

What is it good for?

By moving the clock an hour forward, it’s possible to provide more daylight at the end of the working day. This means more leisure time for the working people. The main reason for implementing DST in the first place was to save energy, however there’s still controversy as to the economic advantages. For example, Chile has decided to adopt DST in 2008 due to economic difficulties. A recent experiment in DST and energy saving in Indiana proved the opposite.

On the other hand, there are many disadvantages to DST, such as confusion (a reason why DST was abandoned in China, for example) and adjustment problems (many report being drowsy on the first few days after DST end). The agriculture industry usually opposes DST since it requires them to get up very early for work. Electronic equipment, such as computers and VCRs often have trouble adjusting to DST, which may couse confusion and bugs.

Testing Google Trends Blogging

After lots of consultation with my colleagues (with lots I mean 4-5 people:)) I’ve decided that I’ll go further with my idea about blogging according to current search trends on internet. What you’ll see next is testing with bizzArtic blog, where I’ll start with few articles about web business, wordpress and enterpreneurial tips (thats my current topic of interset on the blog). If all goes right I’ll consider building a new blog with idea evolved much further.

How will I do it?

  • SEO optimized content to embrace current search trends on the internet
  • Globally targeted keywords and content tags (if that is too wide than locally)
  • Generated links (pointing to article of choice) from other websites (SEO)
  • Use of content material from other websites and link to them
  • Use of links to only relevent and important websites (for content source)
  • A lot of luck hopefully:)

What are the benefits of trends blogging:

  • Lots of traffic I hope
  • Usable content for users
  • SEO optimized content
  • Revenue stream from building traffic
  • Always in trend as ideas for blogging are generated by users

    Why Am I Blogging?

Yesterdy I got the best feedback ever and it really got me thinking about my journey with this bizzArtic blog. Till now I really didn’t have any serious strategy to get me going but now ideas are just ‘poping’ out. So what happened? – My mentor, who recently helped me to graduate, gave me few tips that actually transformed the whole concept of my blog.

What he said…and what you could learn also if you are starting a blog…

    • You don’t have a clear focus what to do with your blog
    • Writing in english language can be a plus or minus
    • Concentrate on your content and leave everything else alone
    • Set yourslef some short-term goals
    • Ask yourself “Why am I blogging?”

    So what now…

I decided to change the concpet of bizzartic blog and focus only on my projects, thus this blog will be a reaching point to my projects, kinda’ like company blog where employees post a different posts about their  company and give random tips to their users. That is exactly what I will do….my first target is to post some freebies (Igloo WordPress Theme) and start some new projects and play with it.

My Blog Got A New Look

After long consideration and my endless impatience I’ve decided to put my blog look away. I’ve done it for following reasons:

    1. I want to concentrate on design for others and don’t want to bother with mine thus I’ve thrown away a few bucks to get a professional WordPress Theme that would do all the magic for me
    2. My design wasn’t ugly, but it did have some bugs that took me some precious time
    3. My clients design and content will be put on first place
    4. Easy and effective ad management
    5. And again I really want to concentrate on work for others

And for the records, theme I am currently running is called Fresh News and is a product from Woo Themes. I didn’t buy this theme directly from them,…instead a friend has bought a develper licence before and sold me a theme for a few bucks.

Please be patient still as this look will get updated regularly and upgraded with featured it had before:

    • Board section (projects, strategy, lifestream etc.)
    • Tips-for-Tips section (my commercial services)
    • And more…

And here is old look so that you can compare it with a new one:
